This Lab is specialized in diagnosing a wide range of disease causing pathogens of fishes and shrimps as well as in providing testing facilities of different water and soil parameters of the culture ponds. The aim of the laboratory is to ensure the proper treatment and prevention measures to the fish farmers  apart from the devastating effects of the diseases and other constraints by identifying the harmful pathogens and presence of the limiting factors in the pond water & soil. FISHTECH (BD) LIMITED establishes the modern molecular laboratory in Khulna, Bangladesh to revamping the potential exportable item shrimp  as well as Fin fishes for the development of the fisheries industry of Bangladesh. FISHTECH established the laboratory through partnership with USAID funded Feed the Future Bangladesh Aquaculture Activity (BAA) project implemented by WorldFish during 2019-2020. This Aquatic Animal Health laboratory provides its services to the shrimp & fish farms, hatcheries and nurseries to increase their productivity as well as to the researchers and other stakeholders of the aquaculture.
